Combination Profile of 6' - 17mm - 26' Very short front radius for light weight goalies and shorter blade sizes. This is the profile Dennis' sons use.
Combination Profile - combination of 13' - 26' the shorter front improves agility when performing in/out and up/down movements.
Combination Profile - combination of 24' - 28' Smoother Transitions and a good start when moving from a single radius. Added stability while sacrificing some agility
27' & 30'
Got a bad sharpening and like your stock profile? This is the one for you. the 27' or the 30' is what the major manufactures intend to use for goalie skates. 30' would be the most stable.

First of I will say turnaround time was remarkable. This is my first set of profiled steel. Right away I really enjoyed the added hight. I chose these over step to give the profiling a shot. I went with the SAM profile because DK can't be wrong, right? The high polish finish is beautiful, and after a game of banging the post, not a nick in the edge. My stock bauer steel looks like a butter knife after a few skates. Don't over think it. Just order a set.
Within a week of using the stock Bauer steels (2G and 3G) I was already tired of the constant burs caused by what seemed to be just getting close to a post. OEMs are soft and lose an edge easily (especially when you're used to 4mm steel and have a deeper hollow.) I heard things about how DLC helps retain edges and thought I'd give them a try... and do they ever!! I can actually kick a post without worry of losing an edge. The added height was a bonus that took all of 10 min to get used to. Yes they're more expensive than OEM but you won't have to sharpen 2+ times a week. If you're on the fence, trust me and buy them now... thank me later.
