Warrior Leg Pad Slide Plates - SR & INT

As others have said, at first these slides are difficult to get used to, but after a few times using them it has become evident how truly game-changing they are. I am able to slide post to post in ways I have never been able to, and I am able to successfully do butterfly slides/pushes when the puck is in front of me but slightly off to either side of me. Now I can push to the puck in my butterfly and not "dive" at it.

Plates are too fast.....I slid 10ft outside the net unintentionally. They require some game adjustments, and don't wear them in a game until you have adjusted your game. They are crazy fast.

After much waiting to restock, finally received and installed these slide plates. Firstly, found the nearly $60 pretty expensive for two pieces of plastic with straps attached. Beyond that the experience was incredible. Easy install and absolute performance. The challenge is adjusting to the incredible slickness they provide. Much less effort to move and does require you maintain a counter edge lest I end up well outside of the crease. Less effort = more conservation of energy. Love ‘em.

With this product you get exactly what you paid for - -once easily attached, your butterfly slides are effortless on any type or condition of ice. It is so easy in fact that it takes some getting used to not to over slide, so expect a bit of a learning curve. Highly recommended for old goalies like me (I'm 70) or those with bad hips or other lower body issues. A real game changer for me.

GoalieParts was the only source found for these slide plates — and as always — their communication, service, and fast delivery was great. I wanted to test these things without having to buy new pads. It takes some adjustment since they slide so easily. Not sure yet if I like them — they will take some time to get used to. They definitely take the stress off my knees — sliding is effortless.

Great add on to your warrior pads. Takes a few practices to get dialed in…. You will over slide at first, and even open up your 5-hole… but once you get used to them, you will love them. Much further slide with no added energy.
